It’s two days after the Academy Awards and I think that my hangover has finally abated. Well, at least it’s gone down to the point where the letters on the keyboard have stopped moving and words are a lot easier to make, so why not make my introduction to the lovely readers of Movieset?
Patrick’s my name and blogging is my game. I’m here to tell you everything, anything and all things about the exciting things happening with Movieset including the words and images that you see on your screen as well as the cool things coagulating behind the scenes in that realm we all like to call real life. I plan on giving you the 411 about new films making their debut on the site, special contests and events we have got planned, which celebrities are dropping by to say hi to you, ways in which you can interact with them and other interesting news from the world of film.
Now I know we’ve just been introduced and all that but I feel that I can trust you. After all, we’re both here because we love the movies, right? Dramas, thrillers, romantic comedies with zombies, alien invasions stopped by an adorable pooch that can play basketball and all that stuff you and I like because I’ve broken into your home and looked at your DVD collection while you were out (I promise to return that copy of “Gigli” that I borrowed next week, alright?) So if we’ve got this connection, this vibe, I feel that I can let you in on a little secret. Just between us and the comments section; Paris Hilton doesn’t need to know right now.
I’ve been poking my head through doors around here and while I can’t tell you everything that is coming in the days, weeks and months ahead, what I can spill to you right now is that there is a lot of coolness headed your way. I don’t just mean just the exclusive stuff or your chance to win a dream date with Scarlett Johansson (look, she asked about it first but I said let’s hold off until you’re done that Woody Allen show first and all that) but at what the Movieset team has got cooking in their creative kitchen. There’s going to be some big things happening here shortly and by dropping by daily to see what the latest word is on this blog you’re going to be at the front of the curve. Stick with me and I’ll hook you up, trust me.
