Postal poster pwnage
How do the filmmakers and movie studios decide on the movie poster that you see in the lobby of your favorite theater? The answer is complicated and usually involves exhaustive marketing research, endless testing of focus groups, feedback from online forums, finding out what design is the director's favorite and then dismissing it immediately from consideration, asking the opinion of high priced call girls frequented by politicians and the odd ritual demonic sacrifice. In short, it's business as usual for Hollywood.
"Postal" is no different than any other massive Hollywood movie with a bloated budget and A-level stars (except for the size of its budget and the lack of A-list [or B-list...or C-list...] stars) because it too has created a series of possible poster designs. One poster might go with a serious, sober note while the next design favors a wacky, humorous bent even though the movie is about a terminal disease. We asked Uwe Boll if he would be willing to share with the world what sort of ideas were being kicked around for the "Postal" movie poster and he came through in a big way, giving us access to 21 various "Postal" poster designs. We've placed all of the poster designs on the "Postal" starting on page three of the "Postal" galleries pages and going forward from there. Some are wacky. Some are offensive. Some show female flesh quite gratuitously. One involves putting the barrel of a pistol into the netherregions of a cat. How sick are the bastards that made this movie? Well, until you've seen the Verne Troyer monkey-love scene, you won't know just how far the line gets redrawn with "Postal". Actually, scratch that: seeing the Dave Foley waking up scene has been forever burned into my brain. And that's one thing "Postal" has going for it that those "Indiana Jones" mega-budgeted summer blockbusters don't have: the courage to show us full-frontal Dave Foley. Does Steven Spielberg have the balls to show the audience Harrison Ford's junk? Hell no...but Uwe Boll DOES.
Tell us which poster design is your favorite and why so in the space below, and if you're a member of a cat protection society, just what kind of street justice you want to inflict upon Uwe Boll. Click on any one of the designs below to see them in their full-size glory.

Is Postal getting a DVD release soon? Seeing as it's already out on DVD in Germany (in German) I don't understand what the delay is.. The movie is obviously finished a long time ago. And I don't want to see it in the cinema - I don't want to see anything in the cinema. I want the DVD to watch at home, and I want it now. Now. Now. Now. Now.
