Sweetwater director blogs about the journey

One of the main goals of MovieSet is to enable filmmakers the opportunity to interact directly with you. Already we are showing you some of the ways this can be done when MovieSet brought you video interviews with”Postal” director Uwe Boll commenting on the controversy surrounding his movie. More recently MovieSet has just launched a blog for “Sweetwater” writer/director Martin Guigui to talk about the days leading up to the start of filming on his new movie. In his latest blog post Guigui shares exclusive insider information about what’s happening right now with the production such as revealing that Danny DeVito and Chazz Palminteri are in talks to star in the period drama. He’s also sharing the minutia about how a movie comes together, such as the trials and tribulations of making sure that all of the financing comes together in time to meet the first day of shooting and how the investors and loan companies will look at all facets of your movie looking for ways to save money. Making a movie isn’t all about what you see on the screen.

If you haven’t already, go read Martin Guigui’s latest blog entry about the making of “Sweetwater” or catch up on what the film is about on MovieSet’s listing for it. And don’t forget that you can always register an account (if you haven’t done so yet) and interact with Guigui directly by posting a comment or two right on his blog.
