The Friday MovieSet round-up

Loads of things are happening across MovieSet that you need to know about and I’m not just referring to that short movie showing Marilyn Monroe giving private dictation to someone. Here’s the latest round-up of news bites to show you the great lengths that the MovieSet team are going to bring you the best movie news:

- fan generated short videos celebrating the upcoming BMX racing film “Freestyle” starring “High School Musical 2″ star Corbin Bleu have gone up on the MovieSet page. The film’s producers selected their favorite fan films from a contest that was recently held and we’ve got their top picks ready and waiting for your ocular digestion.

- We have launched pages for the now in production romantic drama “In a Parallel Universe” and the gripping dramatic feature “It’s a Free World“. Since “Free World” has wrapped principal photography we now have the trailer for it available for download on MovieSet.

- Uwe Boll continues his steamroller ride of destruction and merriment by offering us this revealing endorsement of the new “Indiana Jones” movie by the legendary World War II commander General Patton. Wow. Patton sure has some harsh words to say about “Postal” and director Uwe Boll. If I were Uwe I wouldn’t want to get too mad at the General and challenge him to a boxing match; that war hero is made of steel like Iron Man (which is not opening on May 23 against “Postal”, I just thought that you should know that.) There is also new “Postal” wallpaper to impress your co-workers with available on our page.

- MovieSet has just learned that “Super Amigos“, Arturo Perez Torres’ documentary about five Mexican wrestlers masquerading as superheroes and fighting against corruption, homophobia, pollution, poverty and for animal rights in Mexico City, will screen at the Latin America Film Series on Monday April 21st at 8 PM. If I wore a mask as cool as any one of these guys I bet my life would be a lot more colorful.

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday! And feel free to ask me questions so I can start working on a post about interesting mail. The stranger the question, the better the answer.
