MovieSet makes the OnHollywood 2008 list!

So remember that time two days ago (and in my last blog entry) when I said that there were some amazing things in the near future pipeline that I couldn’t share with you until later on? Well, now is later and I can spill the beans about one of the very cool things happening with MovieSet. Actually, I should say “happening for MovieSet” since it was a third party that gave us their acknowledgement. Never mind, I’ll get to the point: MovieSet has been honored as one of the companies listed on the 2008 OnHollywood 100 list. What’s that mean? It means that MovieSet is being recognized for the tools we give film professionals and fans to interact with each other online. We’re the only Canadian company to have been selected in this year’s list, something that fills my Canuck heart with pride. To celebrate, we’re throwing a beer party tonight inside our MovieSet igloo and giving the day off to the sled dogs! Whoo-hoo!
There’s going to be an event honoring the selected companies next month on the 10th and 11th in West Hollywood. Colleen, our CEO/head eskimo, will be there soaking up the sun and smiles, shaking hands and spreading the word about the MovieSet meme. If you can make it, drop by and say hi. While it’s great to be recognized for doing something innovative there is still so much that we’ve got planned to come, and we hope that we continue to make MovieSet.com one of the internet’s best destinations for movie fans and pros alike.
Now if you will excuse me, I have to fix part of the roof for the IT department’s igloo, another one of my many tasks assigned to me. Global warming is a bitch.
