The Lady is a Ghostbuster?
Friday, October 10, 2008
That’s what Bill Murray is saying to the press, or at least MTV. While yakking about his latest work in City of Ember, Murray told the music-themed website that he’s keen on seeing what the two writers hired by Columbia Pictures to do the script for Ghostbusters 3 will come up with. Both scribes work on NBC’s hit series The Office, and that credential was enough for the comedian to raise his hopes that the third Ghostbusters story would not suck as much as Ghostbusters 2.
“I think that it’d be funny to have a girl ghostbuster,” Murray told MTV. Hell yeah Bill, it’d be cool to see a lady bustin’ some ghosts. Now that the door has been opened, my mind considers the possibilities: Tiny Fey, Zooey Deschanel, Jennifer Aniston, hell, even the future Mrs. Mike Browne, Megan Fox might be able to pull it off after showing us that she has a funny side in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. I can totally dig the notion of a lady Ghostbuster — just make a decent Ghostbusters movie!
