A show of hands please for “Who Loves the Sun”

wholovesthesun02 A show of hands please for Who Loves the SunWill Morrison (Lukas Haas) and Daniel Bloom (Adam Scott) were the best of friends. They grew up together. Went to the same schools. Liked the same records. Loved the same girls. Daniel was Will’s best man at his wedding to Maggie Claire (Molly Parker). Then one day Will disappeared without a word. Half a decade later he re-surfaces and sets off a tsunami of unforeseeable events. Written and directed by Matt Bissonnette, “Who Loves the Sun” is a character drama-comedy, featuring a soundtrack from indie rock band Portastatic as well as songs from the Silver Jews…and I mean the Nashville, Tennessee band and not literally, OK?

MovieSet has now launched a page for the film where you can watch the trailer and look at some stills from the production. The film has received some favorable early reviews over on the IMDB from film festivals where it’s played and lead actress Molly Parker (who you may remember from her three seasons worth of episodes on HBO’s “Deadwood”) was nominated for a Best Actress Genie award this year. Also, here’s another piece of trivia for you, Ms. Parker is married to the film’s director. All I ask is that if you get asked this question on “Jeopardy” we split the winnings, OK?

After watching the trailer, if you want to find out more about the film go hit its official website located at www.wholovesthesun.com.
