We’re in our second week promoting new indie film content and it’s a little bit towards the horror/thriller end of the spectrum. We’ve got the creature feature, the unhinged loner type, creepy attics and four mental patients with post-traumatic stress disorder. Take a look at what we’re serving up and try and guess which of these four is not like the others.
Here we go:
1. Boggy Creek
There’s something irresistible about watching young people get terrorized by a monster. That magical formula: five twenty-somethings + one swamp barge + one big foot – common sense = gleeful chaos. Here’s how it all goes down in Boggy Creek: “For 30 years the residents of Boggy Creek have kept a terrifying secret. Five friends on a camping trip venture deep into the swamps of East Texas and awaken a creature that has lived there for centuries.”
For a taste of the southern-tinged madness, take a look at the recently added trailer below:
American Psycho meets Taxi Driver? All God’s Creatures revolves around a Travis Bickle-esque character, Jon Smith, who works a clean 9-5 job during the day, but becomes a “creature of a different breed” at night.
Check out a thirty second trailer of the thriller below:
3. Certainty
Recently accepted into into the Philadelphia Indepentent Film Festival, Certainty is “is an exploration of life, death and climbing trees.” A forty-five minute poetic essay, filmmaker David Hauka uses archival footage from the 1960s space race to reflect on his childhood.
Intrigued? Check out a clip from the film below:
Let’s keep filling that horror movie quota with They Came From The Attic. Shot for $30,000 in 14 days, this film revolves around a family trying to start fresh after their son is accidentally killed. Soon enough, they find that there’s something in the attic. Production hasn’t uploaded any video yet, but we’ll keep you posted when something new comes in.
For now, check out a couple of production stills below and in the gallery:

5. P.T.S.D.
Director Fernando Beltran y Puga WANTS YOU! Although P.T.S.D. (post-traumatic stress disorder) is looking for funding, Fernando promises that the film will be scary, fast paced and mind bending. This is a man who wants to take you on the ultimate thrill ride. Watch his amazing invitation below:
That’s it for this week. Come back next Wednesday to check out more original indie content!
