Demand that your city gets to see “Battle in Seattle”

Apparently the official website for “Battle in Seattle” has started its own protest movement. If you go visit the site you will see a new application where you can demand (by means of submitting your vote) that the film be screened in your home town. The app can also be downloaded and shared on your website, such as is the case on the official website for “Battle in Seattle” star Channing Tatum.”Battle in Seattle”, directed by actor-turned-director/writer Stuart Townsend, centers on the explosive events that took place in the emerald city during the 1999 World Trade Organization conference. Townsend got a wide assortment of stars to take part in his film including Ray Liotta (”Goodfellas”), Woody Harrelson (”Kingpin”), Michelle Rodriguez (”Resident Evil”), Joshua Jackson (”Dawson’s Creek”), Connie Nielsen (”Gladiator”), Andre Benjamin (”Four Brothers”) and Charlize Theron (the upcoming “Hancock”).The last I heard, “Battle in Seattle” was scheduled to open this coming fall in theaters, but this latest development may show the movie’s distributors that the picture could benefit from a wider release. Already the have been many people from different parts of America place their “demand” into the app. Check the site to see if someone from your city has demanded that “Battle in Seattle” come to your neck of the woods. Maybe you can be the first to demand it!
