Sweetwater director Martin Guigui posted a new entry on his MovieSet exclusive blog and shared exciting news about the status of his developing film project.
“Sweetwater took a hard hit from the U.S. bank meltdown which put a stop to the cash drawdown off of our line of credit. What does that mean? We had to scramble insanely to find replacement funds,” writes Martin. “And it was and has been nuts! Not recommended to anyone… Thanks in part to an awesome team that we are surrounded with our cast is intact:”

“We are shooting in Winnipeg as planned (on an adjusted budget) during the months of March and April with additional shots in L.A.
“The financial aspects fo the film and how we have managed to salvage the picture are too painful to go into. Maybe I’ll let you in on that down the road. In the meanwhile, my bags are packed (again) as we all await the solid Green light from our lender…welcome to Hollywood in 2009…”
