MovieSet’s videographer Quinn Bender and myself had the opportunity to sit down with Control Alt Delete director/writer Cameron Labine recently and talk about his film and the buzz it’s been making. The picture has been picked up by Maximum Films International and a release schedule is being developed by their marketing peeps, but when the film played at the Toronto and Vancouver Film Festivals it generated sold out screenings and much acclaim. Set in the pre-Y2K days of 1999, Control Alt Delete is about a guy (played by Cameron’s real-life brother Tyler Labine of Reaper fame) who does the nasty with computers, but it’s also more than that as well. Labine sat down with us to talk about the journey he went on to make Control Alt Delete, the reaction he’s seen to the film and what his future holds, and in the first of a three-part video interview that’s exclusive to MovieSet, he’ll fill you in on the basics of his movie.
Click here to watch Cameron talk about the premise of Control Alt Delete, his mom’s reaction upon seeing the movie in a crowded theater and how his brother felt about being filmed nearly nude. Parts 2 and 3 will follow in the next couple of days.
