MovieSet has followed the exploits of former WWE showman/wrestler formerly know as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin as he makes his way into films. The big bald guy is following up his work on the yet-unreleased ‘Damage‘ and ‘The Expendables‘ with the lead role in ‘The Stranger‘ filming in Vancouver, BC.
MovieSet ace correspondent Quinn Bender is stopping by the set of ‘The Stranger’ frequently to grab some excellent footage of the cast and crew blocking scenes, applying make-up and yelling “Action!” The resulting clips will be of great interest to action fans as well as fledgling filmmakers seeking a glimpse into life on set.
In this clip, Director Robert Lieberman explains the scenes and friend of MovieSet, Stunt Coordinator Lauro Chartrand explains the scene thusly, “This the Mexican police Interrogation where Steve is tortured, … he has some flashbacks and looses it and basically takes them all out.” He goes on to say discuss Steve’s professionalism on set and hair/make-up artist Lyne Denomme
After seeing Steve in the make-up chair, the scene comes together as the director offers last minute instructions, “We’re gonna roll cameras, and yell Action … and hopefully the blood is running down his chest”
The Stranger’ Synopsis
