James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ – New Featurette Video with Cast and Director

For your consideration … a new featurette from ‘Avatar‘ – the hugely anticipated movie which finally arrives in theaters on December 18th, 2009 after 14+ years of development and 4+ years of production from James Cameron – the director behind mega-projects like ‘Titanic,’ & ‘Terminator.’

The Avatar trailers have been released like movies on their own with line-ups, reviews and anticipation as the renegade filmmaker waited for the technology catch up with his vision as he worked to push the boundaries of how films are made in the digital age.

Now you can explore the back story with an Avatar featurette. You’ll hear director James Cameron and actors Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez, Joel David Moore, Matt Gerald, Zoe Saldana and Dileep Rao talk about AVATAR.

Video after the break …

In case you aren’t paying attention, here’s the synopsis for Avatar:

AVATAR takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption and discovery, as he leads a heroic battle to save a civilization. The film was first conceived by Cameron 14 years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not yet exist. Now, after four years of actual production work, AVATAR delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film, disappears into the emotion of the characters and the sweep of the story.

A few other interesting Avatar news bites.
