Although Twilight wasn’t shot in Forks, Washington, that’s not stoppingTwilight fans from flocking there. Over the last year or so, Forks has morphed from a two-stoplight town, to a Twilight tourist hot spot.
All day long, cars pull into the Forks visitor center to grab maps that pinpoint Forks High School, where Bella and Edward first met, City Hall, where Bella’s father works, La Push where Jacob Black tells Bella of Edwards dark secret, and many more spots recognizable to fans.
“You used to say you were from Forks and people would stare,” said Marcia Bingham, director of the Chamber of Commerce, referring to the “B.T.” (“Before ‘Twilight’ ”) days. “Now when they hear where you’re from, they’re breathless.”
