“The Dark Knight” breaks “Batman Begins” total box office

Sometime yesterday, in its sixth day of release, The Dark Knight made more money than Batman Begins did during its entire theatrical run. To further show you just how much money The Dark Knight is taking in, the movie took in $18 million dollars yesterday…on a Wednesday.
As it stands The Dark Knight is now the fastest movie to reach $200 million dollars in ticket sales. If I dare hazard a prediction I believe that it will also break the record to gross $300 million too. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest currently has the financial honor of that feat, taking 16 days to nab $300 mil.
I’m not going to go out on a limb and say that Dark Knight is going to beat the all-time record holder (Titanic) but it stands a great chance of becoming the biggest grossing superhero film of all time (Spider-Man stands tall with $403 M.)
