Exclusive: When you can see George Romero’s next zombie movie & details on Seventh Moon
Tuesday, November 11, 2008
[This report was filed by Quinn Bender, MovieSet's reporter covering AFM 2008.]
Voltage Pictures has confirmed with MovieSet that George A. Romero’s latest zombie flick is one of director’s biggest — if not the biggest — film to date. International distribution deals are falling nicely into place at the American Film Market this week, but fans of Romero will have to wait until early 2010 to see the zombie flick in theaters. That is, unless they’re lucky enough to secure tickets for its world premier at the Toronto Film Festival in 2009.

[This report was filed by Quinn Bender, MovieSet's reporter covering AFM 2008.]
The folks at Summit Entertainment were kind enough to show the trailer of Astro Boy to MovieSet staff, but unfortunately would not let us walk out with a copy. As the new poster image indicates, the Imagi Studio’s CG-animated feature film will remain shrouded for a while longer, until the deals currently being struck at the American Film Market are sealed.
Summit plans to release Astro Boy in October 2009. While MovieSet can’t show you the trailer at this time, we do have the complete synopsis:
