When his boss hires arrogant young Natalie, she develops a method of video conferencing that will allow termination without ever leaving the office – essentially threatening the existence Ryan so cherishes. Determined to show the naive girl the error of her logic, Ryan takes her on one of his cross country firing expeditions, but as she starts to realize the disheartening realities of her profession, he begins to see the downfalls to his way of life.

With Grace caught between the two of them, Sam and Tommy end up facing the ultimate physical and mental challenge when they confront each other with issues of love, loyalty, and manhood.

Remembering what made them so special together, Phil and Claire take on a couple of corrupt cops, a top-level mobster and a crazed cabbie as their date becomes a night they’ll never forget.

“Passenger Side” – A brotherly road movie with a stellar soundtrack – will premiere on Friday, June 19th at the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival in the Narrative Competition.

The trailer for this movie written and directed by Matt Bissonnette is up on MovieSet and looks great with two solid actors (Adam Scott, Joel Bissonnette) playing brothers off on some misadventures.

Passenger Side Synopsis

Michael Brown’s (ADAM SCOTT) birthday begins with a telephone call from his estranged, drug addicted brother Tobey (JOEL BISSONNETTE). Tobey is totally unaware that it is his older brother’s birthday, but he is very aware that his car is broken, and he begs Michael to drive him on various apparently legitimate, vital errands.

As Bruce Springsteen has astutely noted, “a man who turns his back on his family just ain’t no good”, and so Michael puts off his seemingly romantic birthday plans, and with his brother embarks on a sketchy, meandering day long odyssey though the mysteries of Los Angeles County. As the day wears on, it becomes clear that this drive will lead them to some very unexpected destinations.
