So-called terrorist slams Bruno’s Sasha Baron Cohen as a “big liar”

The man labeled a “terrorist group leader” in Bruno claims he is now a committed pacifist and that the movie’s star, Sasha Baron Cohen, conducted the interview under false pretenses, according to WorldNetDaily.

Ayman Abu Aita served in the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades from 2000 until 2003, after which he did a two year stint in Israeli prison. Now, however, he is dedicated to the Palestinan cause through non-violent means and conducted the interview for Bruno on the pretense it would rally support of international youth. He was shocked to learn the film depicts a homosexual character and contains graphic nudity and sexual fetishes. He also felt there was nothing unusual about Baron Cohen’s appearance or body language to suggest something was amiss with the interview.

Bruno ruled the box office this weekend with an estimated $30.4 million, throwing Transformers 2 to a distant third. To secure it’s success, in the run-up to Bruno’s North American premier, Baron Cohen was aggressively promoting the movie.

When the comedian described to CBS’s David Letterman last week the way he met Aita at an undisclosed location, Aita slammed him as a “big liar” who “made up stories”.

“[Baron Cohen] said this was a film going to help the Palestinian cause,” Aita said. “When I heard (four days ago) what this film was about I really didn’t believe it.”

It comes as no surprise that Aita is consulting lawyers with regards to a lawsuit.

Variety is reporting Universal Pictures will simultaneously release a tamer version of its controversial offering, Bruno, so that younger British movie-goers can get around its current 18-and-over rating.

Perhaps due to the movie’s disappointing opening at the box office, the filmmakers resubmitted Bruno to the The British Board of Film Classification after deleting a minute and a half worth scenes containing the movie’s strongest sexual depictions and references. The abandoned footage includes a montage of exaggerated sexual activity, the miming of various sexual acts and scenes from a swingers’ party.

Universal decided to cut the film after scores of the underage fans that made Sasha Baron Cohen’s last film, Borat, such a runaway success were turned away at the theatre.

Vying now for a less restrictive “15″ rating, the studio hopes Bruno and his myriad of perversions can reach that younger, impressionable audience.

Vassup Hollywood!

The flamboyant fashionista donned some outrageous outfits during his exhausting promotional tour through Europe, but he seems to have saved his biggest shock frock for the Hollywood premiere of the Bruno movie.

The incredible stunt involves Sacha Baron Cohen as BRÜNO riding into the premiere of his Borat Sequel on a military-style tank, completely covered in glam and mirrors, dancing to the latest Techno beats!

Bruno tours the Globe!

Berlin!

Bruno celebrated the German premiere of his movie by appearing before crowds at the famous Brandenburg Gate wearing a pink knitted bodysuit and matching furry boots.

But what stunned Berliners most was without question his knitted genitalia, hanging out on display for all to admire.

Amsterdam!

The next stop on the tour was Amsterdam, where Bruno arrived on the scene on a jet ski.

He piloted his craft up the tight canal (like someone who’s obviously done it before) and splashed down in the middle of the city’s infamous red light district.

On cue, a whole throng of throng-wearing male models dozen men then emerged from behind the curtains of the three-story building, where female prostitutes normally display their wares to passersby on the street.

The U.K.!

Fans flocked over to Leicester Square on June 17 to see Sacha Baron Cohen strut his stuff as Bruno, and they definitely weren’t disappointed. He showed up in London on Wednesday in skimpy Buckingham Palace guard regalia, revealing even more than he did at the movie’s Paris premiere.

Fans flocked over to Leicester Square on June 17 to see Sacha Baron Cohen strut his stuff as Bruno, and they definitely weren’t disappointed. He showed up in London on Wednesday in skimpy Buckingham Palace guard regalia, revealing even more than he did at the movie’s Paris premiere.

In character as the gay Austrian fashion reporter, he donned an extravagant new take on the traditional Foot Guard uniform which involved a lot of bare skin.

Bruno is the newest character for Baron Cohen after the success of Borat, who was as hairy as men come.

Looks like more chaos for Bruno

“Bruno” AKA Sacha Baron Cohen punk’d a Prop 8 rally as it was being filmed. His crew doesn’t like the news camera’s presence and roughs up the cameraman. Later the “Bruno” crew hits cameraman with “Yes On 8″ sign while chanting “Yes On 8″.

“Doesn’t matter the fact that MrVidCam got up in Mr. Cohen’s personal space and became more of a paparazzi than a news documentator put him in the wrong. Giving the man distance and shooting like you were shooting is the appropriate way to film, then you go show the officers “Hey they’re filming without credentials” boom no problem.”

Sacha Baron Cohen, creator of Borat is finally back after three years with his epic, unbelievable and lunatic stunts featuring his high-minded sarcasm and blistering social commentary in Bruno.

Instead of an ignorant and offensive Kazakh television journalist who offends Americans, Bruno’s character is a flamboyantly gay fashion correspondent attempting to conquer Hollywood and become “the most famous Austrian since Adolf Hitler”.

The Bruno movie deal signed in 2006 was worth over $40 million so we should expect big things when this hits the silk screen.

BRÜNO?, BRÜYES!

Sacha has created quite some problems all around the globe during the filming of BRÜNO. He started in Milan’s fashion week as he attempted to snag more of that precious “Gotcha!” footage he is justifiably famous for. He crashed the runways of a show that lead to security guards arresting him and taking him to a Milan police station where he was described as being “very funny”.
After sending someone to retrieve his passport for identification purposes, he has been released from custody and continues to create chaos for his movie.

“On July 8th of last year, an event luring over a thousand Arkansans by offering $1 beers and the prospect of “hot chicks” and “hardcore fights,” were duped last month into appearing as extras in comedian Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest staged mayhem. Cohen and his confederates organized cage fighting programs on consecutive days in Texarkana and Fort Smith.

Both cards ended with two male grapplers (one was identified as “Straight Dave” and wore camouflage) tearing each other’s clothes off and, while in underwear, kissing down their opponent’s chest. This man-on-man action triggered Fort Smith fans to throw chairs and beer erratically at the ring.”
