A fan asks a question about their personal life…and gets booted from the floor. Questions about the actor’s personal lives were prohibited… and he went for it… he asked if the on-screen chemistry between Kristen and Robert translated to real life chemistry as well! Scandalous!

Hold on to your fangs Twi-Hards,  MovieSet has a special edition Behind The Scenes Show all about The Twilight Saga and the movie New Moon.  It’s a three-part featurette where we take you on the MovieSet Vancouver Twilight Tour.

As you all already know, although it is not based in Vancouver, Canada, Twilight: New Moon was actually shot there, and there’s tons of companies offering tours around the set locations from the movie. So if you want to visit all the spots that Bella and Edward go in the movie then well… you can.  Unfortunately not everyone has the time or the money to fly to Vancouver and do the tour as it can be quite the expensive.

But here at  MovieSet we hate to see any Twi-Hard stay home without at least getting a TASTE of what the REAL Twilight fans are getting. *cough*

So for those of you who really, really, REALLY wish you could go, take the time to check out this awesome behind the scenes footage of the Twilight Saga: New Moon Vancouver Tour, brought to you exclusively by MovieSet.

In case you found this page through some sort of cosmic anomaly and don’t actually know what Twilight: New Moon is (yeah right) … its the sequel to Twilight and the 2nd movie in a series of 3 referred to as The Twilight Saga.

In this movie after Bella (Kristen Stewart)  recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella’s blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens, who decide to leave the town of Forks, Washington (its not actually shot in Forks Washington, so watch the show) for Bella and Edward’s sake. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Danger in different forms awaits.

The movie also has Ashley Green as Alice Cullen, Jackson Rathbone as Jasper Hale, Nikki Reed as Rosalie Hale and Kellen Lutz as Emmet Cullen.

On Monday night, guests at the Westin Bayshore Hotel got a chance to take part in Film Making history when one of the films scenes (Percy Jackson) was shot outside its entrance. The hotel was temporarily transformed into a Vegas casino complete with palm trees and hundreds of blinking lights.

“Percy Jackson” a comedy about Greek gods that is schedule to film here until the beginning of August. The film stars Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Rosario Dawson and also features Catherine Keener and Melina Kanakaraedes from TV’s providence.

Also currently filming in town is long awaited “HOT TUB TIME MACHINE”, a humorous tale about a group of drinking buddies who go back in time with the use of the Hot Tub, to a time when they were younger. The film features John Cusack and Chevy Chase.

Where TV is concerned the Fringe is coming into town to shoot its second season in the next few weeks, bringing along with it leading actor Joshua Jackson. The popular CW show supernatural is returning to film its upcoming season as well and its very talented lead actors, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, are sure to set some Vancouver hearths aflutter.

As if that’s not enough, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are coming back in august to shoot the third installment of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Mortals and Immortals alike love nothing more than another chance to passionately voice their opinions regarding everything and anything to do with Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga. Well, here is another debate to sink your fangs into. Which film do you believe is going to rake in more cold hard cash at the Box Office?

I see that Larson Hill over at the deadbolt is looking seriously into this question and whether online chatter always equals Box Office success?  I have a feeling that come November the frenzied anticipation for this sequel will attract fans disposable income quicker than tweens hearts flutter at the sight of Robert Pattinson.

Other big franchises have had sequels fall short?

Although nothing is ever a guarantee when it comes to the movie industry, and the financial success of most movies comes down to timing and a variety of other factors, at this point most fans and observers may be inclined to lay down a blind bet on the prediction that New Moon will better its Twilight predecessor at the box-office. Judging by the waves of online discussions and coverage surrounding The Twilight Saga and New Moon, who wouldn’t go for broke with a bet that New Moon will do better than Twilight? But one thing the online world has proven to be when predicting the box-office success of movies is inconsistent and not quite the reliable barometer the Internet often appears to be. Sometimes it pays off and other times it doesn’t. Although New Moon is no Snakes on a Plane, there are some interesting stats over at BoxOfficeMojo in terms of other hugely popular franchises that reveal the box-office history of the first two Harry Potter movies and a few surprising numbers of other films in the comic and fantasy worlds.

Pattinson has Breaking News

Robert Pattinson, who is now filming the second and third movies in the franchise, confirmed Tuesday in Cannes that there will be a fourth installment of the vampire franchise based on the book “Breaking Dawn.”

Pattinson told The Hollywood Reporter that he is committed to starring in the final outing to date but doesn’t know when backers Summit Entertainment will begin production because of the actor’s jam-packed shooting schedule.

Fans have been hoping for a movie version of the fourth novel from Stephenie Meyer’s best-sellers, so Pattinson’s commitment is the biggest follow up yet. The fourth book centers on Bella and Edward’s marriage and her subsequent pregnancy.

.What are your top 5 Anticipated Scenes for New Moon?

While we anticipate for the next installment in the Twilight Saga, I have come up with the help of some Top-notch Twilight Fan-sites, a list with MovieSet’s most anticipated scenes for New Moon.

Here’s Ours:

#1

The paper-cut scene — You could call this “the beginning of the end” for our favorite human-and-vampire couple. This scene is an essential part of the book and the entire series. This is where Edward decides that he better leave to make Bella safe. Besides, who doesn’t want to see Jasper go all “blood-thirsty-vamp” on Bella?

#2

Bella, Jacob, and Mike at the movies — This is one of the lighter moments in the story. This scene provides some much-need comic relief after Bella’s comatose months. It’s nice to see Bella moving forward, and let’s face it, as much as we adore the pesky-but-adorable Mike Newton, him puking his poor little guts out will provide us with countless laughs.

Bella’s cliff diving — This scene is important because it sets up the second part of the novel perfectly: It is extreme enough to allow Bella to make her statement without risking her life too much. It’s better than, say, her crashing her bike into a tree. Oh, and we also get a peek at some red hair while she’s under water…

Meeting Emily — While this scene is not one that usually comes to mind when thinking of New Moon, it’s vital for the development of the story. Sam and Emily’s story helps Bella understand what “soul mates” truly mean. While meeting Emily, Bella also realizes that the wolves aren’t as safe as she thought they were.

Volterra — This is a given not only because it’s the part that starts to tie up New Moon, but it’s what sets up the sequels. Also, it’s one of the few times where Bella gets to be the heroine instead of the damsel-in-distress.

Vancity Allie was at the Twilight: New Moon set and had an amazing experience. In her blog post The Bella Motorcycle Mystery, she remarks: “I got lucky and managed to get a great video which captures the feel of the one of the scenes, PLUS you can hear Kristen saying some of her lines! Thanks to cast and crew for being so cool!”

Allie breaks down the differences between the book and the movie and points out that:

In this scene in the movie, Bella leaves the theatre with Jessica (the first time she goes to the theatre, not the second time when she goes with Mike and Jacob)… and encounters a motorcycle gang. She decides to go on a joyride with one of the gang members to try to upset Edward into appearing in her head again. Only in this particular movie scene, they actually filmed Rob Pattinson standing right beside Kristen Stewart telling her not to go, with Kristen standing and talking to the gang member beside his bike. (I’m sure they’ll make him an apparition in post-production editing)

She also shares some techniques used in the filming including rain trucks and actors doing their own stunts on a chilly Vancouver night:

“And let me just say this — Kristen Stewart is one HECK of a cool chica. She did ALL her stunts tonight, at least the ones that I saw. Props forbraving it out in the cold Vancouver night on a motorcycle all evening. Major Kudos, Kristen!”

“There were a number of sidewalk shots, but most of the scenes were shot under the theatre overhang. Cranes and rigs held large diffused light globes, and the sidewalks were lined with bright lights. Plus two spotlights at each end of the block. This was the closest many fans have ever gotten to a Twilight set. It was incredible.”

“It would certainly solve the problem of Edward vs. Jake, but I remember how broken Bella was when he left in New Moon? And that was when there was still a 0.001% chance in Bella’s mind that he would come back.

Hopefully Stephanie Meyer won’t put her protagonist (and her readers) through that again, although it does sound like the “I’d-do-anything-for-you-regardless-of-m… mindset that Edward’s got going on Lets just keep our fingers crossed that he doesn’t die for the final time.”

For number six I have dug deep and found a very interesting bunch of information on an unexpected site. Rotten Tomatoes has been around for years and has created a great community of movie watchers that come together to talk about movies, give personal opinions and rate them with the famous Tomato-meter scale  that reviews the percentage of positive reviews from approved tomato reader critics for a certain movie. Enter the Twilight Zone at Rotten Tomatoes.

Believe it or not, next on the list is the Official Site for the author of the Twilight Saga, Stephanie Meyer. The website contains some great stuff including quotes from the book and exclusive information regarding the whole saga. This is also a great place for reading about Eclipse, the third installment in the series.

Simply Twilight takes my pick for number one this week. This site is overall one of the best built sites and is just a great place to check out a lot of great stuff. The layout of the site is classy and user friendly and is considered to be one of the best Fan-sites around.

With the new film “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” shooting here in Vancouver some fans may go so far as to skip school or cut work for a glimpse of stars Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart.

But two teenage girls have taken their Twilight devotion to a whole other level: they traveled from their Swiss village in the hopes of sighting the films stars. “I watched the twilight movie over 10 times” said Lorena Schneider. “Everyone in Switzerland knows the movie and the books.”

Schenider and Kathrin Laube, both 17 are best friends who booked their tickets to Vancouver in December when they first discovered the latest twilight movie would be filmed here.

It was a very spontaneous decision” Schneider said. it started as a joke. “Then we did it”.

They’ve been in town two weeks and have been “Googling all day” to find where twilight was filming. However, they have yet to spot any cast.

With their flight home schedules today, time’s running out.

“It would be disappointing if we didn’t see the cast” Schneider said. Our Vancouver visit will then just be a normal trip to any other city”

Director Signed on for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

David Slade is the newest master vampire.

The “30 Days of Night” director will take a slightly less gory approach to the blood-sucking brood when he helms “Eclipse,” the third installment of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling “Twilight” franchise. Summit Entertainment has just signed Slade to the project, which it plans to release June 30, 2010.

Melissa Rosenberg, who penned the adaptations of “Twilight” and its sequel, “New Moon,” will also script for “Eclipse.”

The third book follows heroine Bella Swan as she nears graduation while trying to navigate the dangers of the ongoing vampire-werewolf struggle. Mysterious killings turn up around Seattle, a malicious vampire looks for revenge and Bella’s romantic life with Edward becomes complicated.

“I am thrilled that David Slade will be directing ‘Eclipse,’ ” said Meyer. “He’s a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise. From the beginning, we’ve been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the ‘Twilight’ saga, and I’m so happy that ‘Eclipse’ will be carrying on with that tradition.”

Slade, who is represented by WMA and Anonymous Content, directed the edgy thriller “Hard Candy” in 2005. The British music video director has also been attached to the Neil Gaiman adaptation “Neverwhere” for the Jim Henson Prods., and has been called in to meet on big-budget studio movies like “Wolverine” over the last 18 months.

Canadians Populate the New Moon Cast

Veteran Canadian actor Graham Greene has joined the cast of New Moon, the sequel to the massive Hollywood hit Twilight,based on the popular vampire romance novels of Stephanie Meyers.

The 56-year-old Greene appears as Harry Clearwater, an old friend of Bella’s father and a Quileute tribal leader.

Greene was nominated for an Oscar for his supporting role in the 1990 film Dances With Wolves and has since appeared in the films Transamerica, The Green Mile, Die Hard: With A Vengeance and the TV series Northern Exposure.

Montreal’s Rachelle Lefevre returns as the vampire Victoria and Vancouver’s Noot Seear appears as a member of the Volturi coven.

Other Canadians include First Nations actor Bronson Pelletier of Vancouver Island, who joins New Moon after a massive casting call for aboriginal actors held earlier this year.

Pelletier, 20, has appeared in Global TV’s Renegadepress.com and on APTN’s ArtZone.

Four actors — Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Bronson Pelletier, all with Native American heritage — join Taylor Lautner, 17, who returns as a hairier, scarier Jacob Black. The plotline finds Jacob growing closer to a distraught Bella (Kristen Stewart) after her vampire beau, Edward, runs off.

What does it take to be part of the wolf pack?

Among wolf pack job requirements is the ability to work half-naked no matter what the weather in the Vancouver, B.C., area, where the film has been shooting for several weeks.

“It’s not pleasant for the actors,” says director Chris Weitz. “But they have all been good-natured. They show up on location in drenching, cold rain, and I say, ‘OK, off with the robes.’ ”

It took a couple of months and thousands of hopefuls to find a quartet that fits the requirements for New Moon’s wolf pack.

No. 1 on the list: Native American or First Nation ancestry, because their characters belong to the Quileute tribe, based in La Push, Wash., both in the book and in real life.

“They had to have papers that proved their heritage,” says director Chris Weitz, who was the one who insisted on hiring within the community. “And they had to be in good physical shape.”

The Twilight sequel is filming now, and between takes, the actors usually are working out with barbells, doing push-ups or chowing down on steak, Weitz says. “They went through wolf camp together, and they are in constant training. It paid off as a bonding thing for them and helped them to get to know one another. They drove each other to get more buff.”

No amount of weightlifting, however, would allow them to act out the wolf portion of their performances; the beasts are about the size of horses and race around on all fours.

“New Moon” currently filming in Vancouver

New Moon is tentatively scheduled for release on November 20, 2009. The film will star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, reprising their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively.

The first official signs of new moon came along a few months ago when a mysterious ad on Craigslist surfaced creating alot of buzz on twilight forums and other fansites.

“Aikins/Cossey Casting is conducting a three city search for a Major Motion Picture. We are looking for young FIRST NATIONS/ABORIGINAL ACTORS AND ACTRESSES BETWEEN THE AGES OF 15 and 25. It will shoot in Vancouver starting mid March to the end of May. Experience is not a requirement. If you are male or interested in a speaking part in a Hollywood release, please consider attending an open call in your area at the following location:”

There have also have been several spottings of the Twilight celebrities all over town here in Vancouver, including Robert Pattinson spotted at Republic Nightclub on the Granville Strip. Check it.

“So yes they have locations at Kitsilano, the park in Port Coquitlam, and a couple others, they are pretty much always on Burrard, Robson, Yaletown or around the Art Gallery (shopping district) and recently Richards on Richards (night club) They are quick to catch because there are literally a group of at least 3-6 people who sit outside the hotel for hours (11 one day) and wait for any sign of them, when one gets spotted all hell breaks loose and there is a swarm, it made our stay at the hotel interesting, and the waits for all good restaurants was crazy long without a reservation.”
