"Postal", the latest film by love-him-or-hate-him director Uwe Boll, had been gearing up to go head-to-head this weekend against one of the year's biggest films, the new "Indiana Jones" movie. For the better part of two months Boll had been smartly plugging the blogosphere preaching to those that would listen the merits of his dark satire on life post-9/11.
Osama endorses Obama
Published by patrick on April 23rd, 2008 - 1:27 amIf you haven't been following the 2008 Democratic candidate race, what rock have you been living under? It's getting down to the wire between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and even though the latter candidate is ahead that doesn't mean for one second that the former First Lady is ready to throw in the towel. If Rocky Balboa taught the world anything it's to never give up, right? And after Clinton's win in Pennsylvania last night's primary she may be headed for her own version of "Rocky II" and starting her comeback.

Published by patrick on April 18th, 2008 - 3:08 amLoads of things are happening across MovieSet that you need to know about and I'm not just referring to that short movie showing Marilyn Monroe giving private dictation to someone. Here's the latest round-up of news bites to show you the great lengths that the MovieSet team are going to bring you the best movie news:
And the winner of what was in Mini-Indy's bag was...

...Susan Ladd! Our winner used her mental savvy to think about what could be stashed inside Mini-Indy's bag and guessed it was a 1943 MKVII gas mask. Unfortunately Susan was wrong; tucked away inside the satchel was a one-of-a-kind Krotchy doll made especially for "Postal" and that comes in its own packaging.
Uwe Boll sounds off about the petition to make him stop directing movies
Published by patrick on April 8th, 2008 - 7:06 amUwe Boll. Those two words now have the strength of sending parts of the internet into chaos and outright fear. In the past five years Boll has made a slew of video game movies like "Alone in the Dark", "House of the Dead", "BloodRayne", "In the Name of the King", "Postal" and "Far Cry" and he's planning on making more. And while his films haven't been met with open arms by the collective online audience, Boll knows that he's become public enemy number one amongst certain segments of film fans.
Say hello to my little friend

The t-shirts of Postal
Published by patrick on March 27th, 2008 - 12:58 amUwe Boll shared with MovieSet a bunch of confidential marketing designs for "Postal". Naturally we asked him if it would be cool to share it with the world and the B-man gave us the A-OK.
Here's a look at some proposed t-shirt designs for "Postal" where the marketing campaign is taking advantage of the film's over-the-top parodies. Hey, here's a thought: tell us which one you like the best and would wear walking around. We'll tell Uwe the results.
For my buck, the last one is the one for me.
