Hold on to your fangs Twi-Hards,  MovieSet has a special edition Behind The Scenes Show all about The Twilight Saga and the movie New Moon.  It’s a three-part featurette where we take you on the MovieSet Vancouver Twilight Tour.

As you all already know, although it is not based in Vancouver, Canada, Twilight: New Moon was actually shot there, and there’s tons of companies offering tours around the set locations from the movie. So if you want to visit all the spots that Bella and Edward go in the movie then well… you can.  Unfortunately not everyone has the time or the money to fly to Vancouver and do the tour as it can be quite the expensive.

But here at  MovieSet we hate to see any Twi-Hard stay home without at least getting a TASTE of what the REAL Twilight fans are getting. *cough*

Indeed Vancouver is living up to its Hollywood north reputation this summer with a slew of feature films and TV series heading into production.

On Monday night, guests at the Westin Bayshore Hotel got a chance to take part in Film Making history when one of the films scenes (Percy Jackson) was shot outside its entrance. The hotel was temporarily transformed into a Vegas casino complete with palm trees and hundreds of blinking lights.

“Percy Jackson” a comedy about Greek gods that is schedule to film here until the beginning of August. The film stars Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Rosario Dawson and also features Catherine Keener and Melina Kanakaraedes from TV’s providence.

Also currently filming in town is long awaited “HOT TUB TIME MACHINE”, a humorous tale about a group of drinking buddies who go back in time with the use of the Hot Tub, to a time when they were younger. The film features John Cusack and Chevy Chase.

Where TV is concerned the Fringe is coming into town to shoot its second season in the next few weeks, bringing along with it leading actor Joshua Jackson. The popular CW show supernatural is returning to film its upcoming season as well and its very talented lead actors, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, are sure to set some Vancouver hearths aflutter.

As if that’s not enough, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are coming back in august to shoot the third installment of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Mortals and Immortals alike love nothing more than another chance to passionately voice their opinions regarding everything and anything to do with Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga. Well, here is another debate to sink your fangs into. Which film do you believe is going to rake in more cold hard cash at the Box Office?

I see that Larson Hill over at the deadbolt is looking seriously into this question and whether online chatter always equals Box Office success?  I have a feeling that come November the frenzied anticipation for this sequel will attract fans disposable income quicker than tweens hearts flutter at the sight of Robert Pattinson.

Other big franchises have had sequels fall short?

Although nothing is ever a guarantee when it comes to the movie industry, and the financial success of most movies comes down to timing and a variety of other factors, at this point most fans and observers may be inclined to lay down a blind bet on the prediction that New Moon will better its Twilight predecessor at the box-office. Judging by the waves of online discussions and coverage surrounding The Twilight Saga and New Moon, who wouldn’t go for broke with a bet that New Moon will do better than Twilight? But one thing the online world has proven to be when predicting the box-office success of movies is inconsistent and not quite the reliable barometer the Internet often appears to be. Sometimes it pays off and other times it doesn’t. Although New Moon is no Snakes on a Plane, there are some interesting stats over at BoxOfficeMojo in terms of other hugely popular franchises that reveal the box-office history of the first two Harry Potter movies and a few surprising numbers of other films in the comic and fantasy worlds.

Pattinson has Breaking News

Robert Pattinson, who is now filming the second and third movies in the franchise, confirmed Tuesday in Cannes that there will be a fourth installment of the vampire franchise based on the book “Breaking Dawn.”

Pattinson told The Hollywood Reporter that he is committed to starring in the final outing to date but doesn’t know when backers Summit Entertainment will begin production because of the actor’s jam-packed shooting schedule.

Fans have been hoping for a movie version of the fourth novel from Stephenie Meyer’s best-sellers, so Pattinson’s commitment is the biggest follow up yet. The fourth book centers on Bella and Edward’s marriage and her subsequent pregnancy.

.What are your top 5 Anticipated Scenes for New Moon?

While we anticipate for the next installment in the Twilight Saga, I have come up with the help of some Top-notch Twilight Fan-sites, a list with MovieSet’s most anticipated scenes for New Moon.

Here’s Ours:

#1

The paper-cut scene — You could call this “the beginning of the end” for our favorite human-and-vampire couple. This scene is an essential part of the book and the entire series. This is where Edward decides that he better leave to make Bella safe. Besides, who doesn’t want to see Jasper go all “blood-thirsty-vamp” on Bella?

#2

Bella, Jacob, and Mike at the movies — This is one of the lighter moments in the story. This scene provides some much-need comic relief after Bella’s comatose months. It’s nice to see Bella moving forward, and let’s face it, as much as we adore the pesky-but-adorable Mike Newton, him puking his poor little guts out will provide us with countless laughs.

Bella’s cliff diving — This scene is important because it sets up the second part of the novel perfectly: It is extreme enough to allow Bella to make her statement without risking her life too much. It’s better than, say, her crashing her bike into a tree. Oh, and we also get a peek at some red hair while she’s under water…

Meeting Emily — While this scene is not one that usually comes to mind when thinking of New Moon, it’s vital for the development of the story. Sam and Emily’s story helps Bella understand what “soul mates” truly mean. While meeting Emily, Bella also realizes that the wolves aren’t as safe as she thought they were.

Volterra — This is a given not only because it’s the part that starts to tie up New Moon, but it’s what sets up the sequels. Also, it’s one of the few times where Bella gets to be the heroine instead of the damsel-in-distress.
