The cast for George Romero’s untitled zombie movie has finally been revealed. Variety reports that among those living will be Alan Van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, Kathleen Munroe, Richard Fitzpatrick, Devon Bostick, Stefano Colacitti and Athena Karkanis. Sounds like the undead will have plenty of food to munch on.
We’ve also learned the premise of the film: after the outbreak of zombies seen in Diary of the Dead, one of the survivors of that movie makes their way to an island off the coast. There the isolated survivors have a natural barrier to protect themselves from the newly risen dead, however, they also have their own zombies popping from out of the island cemetery. The islanders struggle with whether they should permanently kill their resurrected friends and family members or just subdue them in the hopes that a cure can be found. I’m guessing that bad things happen in the third act and there’s no happy ending.
