According to El Mayimbe over at Latino Review, and according to an insider at Warner Brothers, Canadian actor, Ryan Gosling, is being considered for the role of the Green Lantern in the film set to shoot in Spring 2009.
After seeing a number of bizarre casting rumors around this film specifically with the consideration of David Boreanaz, Seth Green and Justin Long for the role I for one am a little relieved with this direction. Gosling has the box office appeal and acting chops to pull this off, contrary to the belief of my writing partner who says, “I know Green Lantern and he’s not it.”
Sorry to tell you Patrick, you don’t know Green Lantern. It’s a comic book character. If you really do think you know him I’m calling the guy with the butterfly nets.
